More and more people are looking for ways to experience our natural heritage first hand. That's why we created Kawartha Kayaking

Our mission is to introduce people to the beauty and serenity unique to the Kawarthas. We wish to promote environmental awareness in a way in which we "take only pictures, leaving nothing but foot prints and ripples from our paddles". We welcome solo guests, families, and groups of 10 or more.

Even if you've never seen a kayak up close, let alone had your hands on a paddle, our experienced instructors will give you the basic techniques to comfortably and safely guide these light weight, easily manoeuvred craft, through the waters of Stony Lake, part of the Canadian Heritage River System

Privately Maintained Website with cycling trails in the Kawartha Lakes Region

Love cycling? Hate traffic? Then these trails are for you! Here are some trails that can get you around southern Ontario in the peace and quiet that can't typically be found on the roads of this province. The trails follow abandoned railway lines, with occasional minor detours around short sections where the right-of-way is in question.

So far, I've documented just over 100 km of trail and there is more to come. I am aware of some 300+ km of trail that connect to the trails I've already covered. So stay tuned. I would not recommend these trails for bikes with narrow tires as the trail surfaces are often rough and/or loose.
