HISTORIC CHURCH TOUR PACKAGE

On your way to The Brick Church, stop at the otherworldly Thomas Foster Memorial for a friday night concert (8pm). Inspired by the Taj Mahal, this extrordinary monument boasts terrrazzo and marble mosaics. (private tours can be arranged).

After a wholesome breakfast on Saturday morning, embark on your Historic Church Tour. Detailed self-guided map provided! Soak in the vistas as you drive through some of southern Ontario's prettiest scenery. Your tour winds down at Cambellford's Church Key Brewery, where you can sample and purchase this craft beer to enjoy later with your dinner . Return to The Brick Church for a homecooked meal on our deck at sunset, or by the fire on cooler nights. A great tour for history or photography buffs.

NATURE RAMBLE

This tour includes a two night’s stay at The Brick Church Bed and Breakfast, Dinner on the first night of your arrival with a complimentary glass of wine. A presentation and an outline of the next days’ itinerary will be given by your exclusive guide, Dan Bone.

Dan Bone is the vice president of the Kawartha Field Naturalists and a member of the Ontario Nature Network. An experienced and enthusiastic teacher of all aspects of wild life and wilderness in this region.

Here’s a sample of what you might see depending on the time of year of your package.

In December, January, February and March, interesting wintering birds such as Snowy Owls, Great Gray Owls or Bohemian Waxwings may be viewed.

July through August are prime butterfly and dragonfly seasons.

In September and October, shorebird viewing is very popular.
All of this with the pristine backdrop of the Kawartha’s.

Day 1
Arrive at The Brick Church for dinner and Dan’s informative talk.

Day 2
Prepare for your full day, it‘s an early start! After breakfast, drive to your meeting spot to join Dan for the day. Be ready for the weather and the rural setting. A seasonal picnic will be provided.

Return to The Brick Church for a rest and to refresh before heading back out again for dinner at a restaurant of your choice in either Lindsay or Port Perry. Both are only 20 minutes away.

Day 3
Your second morning at The Brick Church will be a casual affair where a hot and wholesome breakfast is served.

Price for this Nature Ramble Package is $500 based on double occupancy.
Dinner the second night is not included.
